PLEASE READ THIS!Requests can now be posted directly to the community. YOU MUST STILL POST A BRIBE WITH YOUR REQUEST (i.e. an .mp3 download, a tab for another song, any part of the song you're asking for). YouTube links still DO NOT count as a bribe.The request post was originally created because the community was getting a lot of 1-2 sentence posts from people just asking for songs, and 90% of them (it seemed) never participated in the community beyond that. However, the activity level has dropped a lot since then, and I'm turning out to be pretty terrible at posting the request post on time.
So here are the new request guidelines:
BEFORE requesting: check the tags list! Try Google!
1. Include the word 'request' in your Subject line (ex. 'Request: ROOKieZ is PUNK'D - Complication' or some variation thereof; even just 'request' is fine)

Of course Include the name of the artist and the song you want tabbed, and the parts (instruments, and part of the song, if it's only a section) you want. A YouTube link may be helpful.
3. Include a bribe. Bribes can be: a full or partial tab for another song (a version not already in our community), any part of the song you're requesting (a partial tab, the key/time signature, a bit of the chorus, etc.), the sheet music for the song you're requesting or a different one, an .mp3 download of your request that YOU uploaded. You're encouraged to try tabbing the song yourself! Whatever you post definitely doesn't have to be perfect! Take a look at
this post for some tips on how to get started.
3a. .mp3 downloads may be deleted after a week, if you wish. Also, if you would like to (somewhat) limit who will see your link posted, you may lock your post to this community by choosing 'members' under "Security" on the posting page.
4. Tag your request with the 'request' tag ONLY (unless it contains a tab/sheet music). The artist and song tags are for posts with tabs.
For now there isn't a specific limit on how many songs you can request at once, or how many times you can post per week, but please be considerate when posting. If you do not include a bribe or are somehow otherwise outside of the guidelines, you will be 'warned,' and if you don't add a bribe to your post, it may be deleted.
